Choi Hung Estate is one of the earliest public housing estates in Hong Kong. It’s characteristic rhymes with its name that the appearance of the Choi Hung Estate is garnished with rainbow colours, which attracts countless people inside or outside Hong Kong coming to witness this amazing design. However, the naming method of the roads inside Choi Hung Estate is not known to many people. Billy Ho (founder of Seika Studio), who lives in Choi Hung Estate for 20 years, has just discovered this naming method recently. The naming of the road echoes with the rainbow concepts that it combined by a colour of rainbow with a type of flower.

In this exhibition, we created 7 pieces of digital illustration that we try to visualize the interesting “colour + flower” combination into visual images. We invited Lulu Lam, a jewellery artist, to produce metal jewellery as a frame that the prints of our illustration were incorporated into accessories as a visual element. Moreover, we invited a performer Intoun Chau as well as 7 models to conduct a performance to showcase the interaction between body parts, jewellery design and illustrations.
